My eight year old son Declan had been fighting an aggressive childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma since the age of four. Enduring Chemotherapy, Radiation, Surgery, Stem Cell Transplant and Immunotherapy.

Sadly in May last year he passed away at home with us and his brothers by his side. Another true superhero that has lost his life to childhood cancer.

In 2015 and 2016 Declan was put on a clinical trial in Sydney. This particular drug, DFMO, was funded by The Kids Cancer Project. Declan was extremely well while being on this trial, allowing us to have more quality time with him as a family. This was achieved purely because of research and moving forward with new treatment options.

I am determined more than ever now to help find a cure and better treatment options for all childhood cancers so that other children have a better chance of survival.
